Ngāi Tahu | Kāti Māmoe

Born and raised in Te Whanganui-a-Tara with whakapapa to the Murihiku and Te Rau Aroha Marae, Tāne lives in Strathmore Park with his partner and two young tamariki. He has a Masters degree in Industrial and Organisational Psychology specialising in employee selection and over 20 years experience in recruitment and Human Resources.

With a strong track record of delivery across all aspects of recruitment strategy and operations, Tāne has successfully led recruitment teams and projects in the public, private and not-for-profit sectors in Aotearoa and the United Kingdom. He has helped organisations to design and deliver sourcing and selection strategies for all experience levels.

Passionate about helping organisations to master the art and science of recruitment as well as good people management practice Tāne sees the immense potential that exists in applying these solutions to the challenges and opportunities facing the Māori workforce.

He is convinced that harnessing Te Ao Māori capability effectively will be a game changer for the Māori economy and Aotearoa as a whole and he is excited about the role Whakahui can play in enabling this.
